Artist Spotlight: BlackOuT

by Impact Relations on July 28, 2010

Introducing Massachusett’s own, Mike Nicholaides aka BlackOut (dude in the middle). Here’s a little background info… “My names Mike Nicholaides, I go by BlackOuT for many reasons, the main one being I get drink to get drunk and blackout all the time. Also, because when I rap I’m in my own zone and in a sense blackout. It’s just me rapping and no one else there. My freestyles just flow from thought to mouth without hesitation. Im a huge fan of hip hop, influenced by Wu Tang, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Eminem, and like everyone else Jay-Z, Nas, Pac, Biggie and many many more. I appreciate all music rock, classic rock, one or two country songs but thats about it. I only rap about what I do, what goes on around me, how I’m feeling and the thoughts I’m having. Its not gangster or thug rap. Its just me, BlackOuT. I’m from Easton Mass, twenty minutes south of Boston. Im 22 I get drunk and ***ked up and I rep Mass to the fullest. My rap group throughout college was P.I.C.(Partnerz In CRhyme). I wrote raps and freestyled, until I got with my click and started recording.”

The track is titled “Speak to Kids.” It’s inspired by things that go on in his area that he’s observed, and things that he’s dealt with himself. Beat is sick, and I’m digging the flow… Leave some feedback in the comment section!
