Artist Interview Moment: Josh Hurt

Introducing our first artist interview on the site with Josh Hurt… Nothing special, just a few basic questions to get to know different artists a little better. First some background; Josh Hurt is a 21 year old Urban Pop entertainer from Dallas, TX. He has been writing original music since the age of 9, and started recording and performing at the age of 17. He is currently working on his first project, The Exhibition.
1. How long have you guys been recording music? Did or do you have any other projects going on before being on your own?
“I have been recording for the past 3 years. I have always been a solo artist.”
2. If you could share the stage with any 3 artists or bands who are still around and touring, who would the be?
“I know the sky is the limit, so let’s say Beyonce, Usher, and The Black Eyed Peas!”
3. What are your biggest influences in your music?
My biggest influences are movies and film. I like to take those concepts and storylines and put them to great music.
4. Where is your favorite venue to play?
I don’t have a favorite venue, but I really enjoy doing benefit concerts! It’s my simple way of giving back to the community through entertainment.
5. What is your favorite venue to hang out at when not performing?
I am a work-a-holic! If I’m not performing, I’m most likely in the studio or in rehearsals working on new music to perform!
